There
are four mammoth townships being planned in and around the Faribabad town.
The Business Park Town Planners (BPTP ParkLand) is constructing one of the
biggest townships in the country. It is spread over 1,000 acres of land and
soon 500 acres will be added to this township. Plans are being finalized to
build thousands of residential units including apartments, villas and plots.
Residential Projects like 'The Forest' by Omaxe is a prime example of posh
residential development in Faridabad. People are seeking ultra modern living
combined with the aesthetics of finest in luxury. Though the prices of the
residential property have gone up but still lesser than that of Noida and
Gurgaon. Hence, it is going to give more returns in a long term investment.
Faridabad is a city with truly international style of living and also a
very propitious place for the purchase of property. This market will mature
faster than either Gurgaon or Noida. It would be a typical upper middle
class destination with better connectivity and facilities. It is not only a
suburb to Delhi but is a city in its own right with a population crossing
two million.

Faridabad
is the industrial hub of Haryana and has more than 300 large and 10,000
small scale industries. Lot of new industries add to the list at regular
time period. With increased industrial and commercial activity the real
estate market is going to witness a boom ahead. Various civic agencies like
HUDA and MCF are coming forward to develop the area as a whole. Special
attention has been given to infrastructural development to support the
industrial growth.
Some of the major industries that are functioning in Faridabad are Apparel,
Arts & Crafts, Automotive, Ayurvedic & Herbal, Computers,
Construction, Electrical & Electronic, Industrial Goods, Plant &
Machinery, Services and Tools & Equipment.

Till
now, Faridabad has been in the shadows of the scale of suburban development
in Gurgaon and Noida. The scenario has changed over the last few years as
there has been significant interest generated in this suburb on the back of
mall, IT and residential developments, which were hitherto witnessed in
other prime suburbs.
Even as the prime suburbs of Gurgaon and Noida have become costlier for the
commercial buyers, Faridabad has emerged as a viable alternative,
considering its connectivity to Delhi. Several commercial projects are in
the pipeline that are expected to materialize in the next few years. These
commercial projects are also as vast and as elegant as the residential
projects. Many shopping arcades and malls are functional as of now and still
more are in the pipeline. There are five malls coming up in the city in
another year.
The Faridabad market, which was not considered hot at one time, has shown
great potential of growth in the last one year. With big malls, offices and
hotels coming up in the area, the state government and private builders are
keen on building a good infrastructure. The prices are bound to go up.
Faridabad has an established urban and social infrastructure in place and
that is very ideal for commercial purposes.
